Womens T20 World Cup 2024: In view of the situation after the violence in Bangladesh, the ICC has decided that the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will now be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Let us inform you that the Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in 2 venues of UAE from 3 to 20 October, which includes Dubai and Sharjah.
Indian team announced for ICC Womens T20 World Cup, this veteran bowler makes a comeback.. The ICC report said that the 9th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will now be played in the UAE. However, Bangladesh will continue to host the tournament.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said in a statement, “It is a shame that Bangladesh was not able to host the Women’s T20 World Cup as we know they would have produced a memorable event.”
Geoff Allardice further said, “I would like to thank the Bangladesh Cricket Board team for exploring every possible way to host this event in Bangladesh, but it was not possible due to government travel advisories for many participating teams. However, they will retain the right to host. We look forward to hosting ICC global events in Bangladesh in the future
There was a protest against reservation in Bangladesh. Amidst this protest, the government was overthrown. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country, after which violence was seen across the country, in which more than 230 people were reported dead. Now an interim government has been formed in the country.
