After a case of distribution of chicken rice to patients and relatives on Independence Day today, 15th August, in the district hospital of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Chhattisgarh, came to light, the police have arrested three people from Gaurela and Pendra.
Actually, yesterday on 15th August, when the district administration was celebrating the Independence Day in Gurukul ground in front of the district hospital, some people arrived in a car to distribute food items in the district hospital and were distributing food.
During this time, when some people present there saw that chicken and rice was being distributed to the patients and relatives, they protested against it and also made a video of it. Then the people who had come to distribute the food left from there. When the district administration came to know about this matter, CMHO Rameshwar Sharma, who is also in charge of the civil surgeon, reached there and took information about the matter from the staff and after confirmation, sent a written complaint to the Gaurela police station and asked for an FIR.
When Bajrang Dal and other organisations came to know about distribution of chicken and rice in the government district hospital in the month of Sawan and on Independence Day, they reached the district hospital and lodged their objection expressing displeasure before the CMHO. On receiving information in this matter, Gaurela police started investigating the matter and arrested Obesh Khan, resident of Ekta Nagar, Gaurela, Mohammad Shahabuddin, resident of Pendra, Sakhar Farooqui, resident of Gaurela under the restrictive sections of the BNS Act, where all of them have been sent to jail till August 21.
