Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde and NCP chief Ajit Pawar will be Deputy Chief Ministers. Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Fadnavis were present in the BJP core committee meeting.
Mahayuti alliance wins 132 out of 288 seats
The BJP achieved a remarkable success in the elections held in Maharashtra on November 20, winning 132 out of 288 seats, its best performance ever in the state. Together with its allies – Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, the Mahayuti alliance has a handsome majority of 230 seats.
