Delhi Election 2025: The key contests to watch for are in New Delhi constituency, where former Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal fights BJP MP Parvesh Verma and Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit, as well as in Kalkaji, where Delhi CM Atishi battles BJP’s Delhi unit chief Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’s Alka Lamba.
Delhi Election 2025: The national capital recorded a voter turn out of 33. 31 per cent as of 1 pm on Wednesday February 5, 2025 as polling went underway across 70 assembly seats. Among key constituencies, voter turnout stood at 30. 86 per cent in New Delhi, 31.24 per cent in Jangpura, and 28.75 per cent in Kalkaji, according to the latest ECI data.
The stage is set for a high-octane Assembly election as the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is eyeing a third consecutive term, banking on its governance record and welfare schemes while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress look for resurgence. This time around, 1.56 crore eligible voters are casting their ballot to choose the next CM of Delhi.
