The woman said that during the conversation the suspect also asked her about her religion. He also told her to read the Quran, it is also in Hindi. I have also been its teacher.
Jammu & Kashmir: Security forces in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir took immediate action after taking cognizance of a video that went viral on social media. In the video, a female tourist claimed that a man had questioned her about her religion. He was also heard using words like sending 35 guns and Plan B.
After investigation, Ganderbal police has arrested the suspect. The accused has been identified as Ayaz Ahmed Jangal son of Nabi Jangal resident of Gohipora, Raijan, Ganderbal. He drives a mule in Thajwas Glacier-Sonamarg. He is being continuously interrogated.
The woman who saw the suspect said that we had gone to Jammu and Kashmir on April 13, 2025 . We had planned a 10-day trip to Jammu and Kashmir. In this trip, we first went to Mata Vaishno Temple . We got free from Vaishno Devi on the April 15 , 2025 and reached Srinagar on April 16, 2025 . On April 17 and 18, 2025 and April 18, 2025 we roamed around Srinagar and on April 10 we went to Sonamarg and on April 20 we went to Pahalgam. In Pahalgam we talked to the mule driver and they took us to Baisaran valley which is called Mini Switzerland.
The woman told that we went to a place 500 meters before Baisaran. The suspect whose sketch has been released was there. We are recognizing him. There was a boy with him. At first we thought that he was a mule driver. He asked me what is your name? The woman replied that my name is Ekta and I am from Rajasthan. Then he asked me if you have been to Ajmer? I said that I have not been to Ajmer. Then he said what do you put before your name? The woman said that I only write Ekta. After this she asked how many people have come and who all have come with them?
The woman was asked about her religion and on the phone he told someone to send 35 guns. The woman told that during the conversation the suspect also asked her about her religion. He was also telling her to read Quran, Quran is in Hindi too. I have also been its teacher. The woman told that when I asked him why do you guide a mule, he became quiet. During this conversation he gets a call. On the phone he tells someone that a group of 20 people is coming. During the conversation the woman heard him saying on the phone that the brakes did not fail… Plan B. I have sent 35 guns to the valley. I have also sent the full box. Then the woman told her husband to take a photo of him secretly .
