A big revelation has come to light regarding honeytrap in Maharashtra politics. Senior NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Eknath Khadse has accused state cabinet minister Girish Mahajan and Chief Minister’s Office official Rameshwar Naik of being involved in a honeytrap case. Khadse has also claimed that this conspiracy was hatched by BJP worker Praful Lodha.
An alleged rape case is registered against Praful Lodha in Andheri, Mumbai. Lodha was earlier in Congress, but he joined BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Rameshwar Naik was also present there during this time. Later, Lodha himself filed a complaint against Mahajan and Naik, which spoiled their relationship.
A big disclosure about honeytrap
In a viral video, Lodha has claimed that if he takes a step, there can be a storm across the country. Addressing a woman as mother and sister-in-law, he gestured that he has solid video evidence.
Khadse has demanded that this case should be investigated not by the local police but by an independent Special Investigation Team (SIT). Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut also shared a photo and exposed the relationship between Mahajan and Lodha. He also claimed that four ministers and many officials are trapped in honeytrap. Also, four young MPs have left the party out of fear. Raut has demanded a CBI inquiry.

Chief Minister Fadnavis had said in the assembly during the monsoon session that no official complaint related to honeytrap has been received in the state, except one case in Nashik which was later withdrawn. Meanwhile, the name of a hotel owner has also surfaced in this controversy who is said to be the local Congress president. Congress MLA Nana Patole alleged that the government is hiding the truth and important documents may be leaked.
Opposition’s allegation
NCP leader Eknath Khadse has said that an SIT should be formed to investigate the entire matter. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has demanded a CBI inquiry into the entire matter.
