During a rescue operation in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah launched a drone attack against Israeli soldiers. One soldier was killed and several others were injured in the attack. Video footage of the incident has surfaced, showing an explosion occurring near a helicopter.

Amidst the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, a major attack has occurred. During a rescue operation, Hezbollah launched a drone strike targeting Israeli soldiers, killing one soldier and injuring several others.

According to reports, this incident occurred in the Taybeh area of Lebanon, where a tank belonging to the Israeli military’s 77th Battalion had become stranded due to a technical malfunction. While the soldiers were engaged in repairing the tank, Hezbollah launched an attack using an explosives-laden drone. The drone detonated in close proximity to the soldiers, leaving the personnel present at the scene critically injured.

Following the attack, an Israeli Air Force helicopter was dispatched to evacuate the wounded. However, Hezbollah continued its assault even during the rescue operation. According to reports, two additional drones were launched; Israeli soldiers shot down one of them in mid-air, while the other exploded in close proximity to the helicopter and the troops. Nevertheless, this second explosion did not result in significant damage.

According to the Israeli military (IDF), one soldier was killed in this attack, while one officer and three soldiers were seriously injured. In addition, two soldiers sustained minor injuries.

Claiming responsibility for the attack, Hezbollah stated that this action was carried out in response to a ceasefire violation by Israel. In recent times, the organization has increased its use of small, sophisticated FPV drones capable of striking targets directly.

It is reported that some of these drones are controlled via fiber-optic cables, making them difficult to counter through electronic jamming. This is precisely why such attacks are proving to be increasingly precise and dangerous. This incident occurred at a time when a ceasefire between the two sides had recently been extended; yet, despite this, clashes continue along the border.
