Vegetables became very expensive in Raipur, ladyfinger became 70 rupees and cauliflower became 90 rupees… know the prices of other vegetables

Raipur: Due to heavy rains and floods in western Indian states like Gujarat and Maharashtra, vegetable prices are increasing drastically in many other states including Chhattisgarh. In the markets of Raipur, the prices of vegetables like tomato, bitter gourd and cabbage have reached 70 to 90 rupees per kg.

T. Srinivas, president of Dumratarai wholesale vegetable market, says that there is no possibility of any reduction in prices at the moment. 70 percent of vegetables are still coming from outside states, which have suffered heavy losses due to floods. Tomato crop has been badly affected in particular, due to which its supply is disrupted.

Due to crop damage at the local level also, farmers are busy preparing for other crops. It is expected that prices may come down around Diwali. At present, the general public is facing these rising prices.

Let us tell you the current prices of vegetables in the market:
Tomato: Rs. 40 to Rs. 50 per kg
Cabbage: Rs. 80 to Rs. 90 per kg
Bitter gourd: Rs. 70 to Rs. 80 per kg
Mung bean: Rs 60 to Rs. 70 per kg
Ladyfinger: Rs. 60 to Rs. 70 per kg
Cabbage: Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 per kg

Keeping an eye on the market conditions, consumers may have to face some more increase in vegetable prices in the coming days.
