CG: State government decides to build a film city, proposal of Rs 250 crore to be sent Delhi for approval

Raipur: Due to the increasing interest of Bollywood in Chhattisgarh, the buzz about building a film city in the state has intensified. The state government has decided to build a film city. The Culture Department has prepared a proposal to build a film city, which will be sent to the Central Government for approval.

A proposal of Rs 250 crore has been made for the construction of the film city. Initially, about two hundred acres of land has also been identified for this in Nava Raipur. It is significant that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has shown interest in promoting the Chhattisgarhi film industry.

The proposal for the film city has been prepared after the instructions of the Chief Minister. Work on the film city will started after after the approval of the central government. Due to the BJP government in the center and the state, its approval is expected positively .

There is a plans to build the film city on 150 to 200 acres of land in Nava Raipur. The study of the states Cultural department has already initiated . On approval of project the work will start towards making the film city and will be completed within a span of minimum time .
