1)Students of the remaining districts will get loan at 1 percent interest rate
2)Students with weak economic condition will get better opportunities for technical and professional education
3) Mukhyamantri Higher Education Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme: Students from families with annual income less than 2 lakhs will be eligible
4) 35 technical and other professional courses at diploma, graduate and postgraduate level included
5) Maximum limit of education loan for interest subsidy is Rs 4 lakh
Collectors have been instructed to run a campaign to provide the benefits of the scheme to maximum number of students
Interest free loans will be given to children of families with weak economic condition in the Maoist terror affected districts of Chhattisgarh to provide better opportunities for technical and professional higher education. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has given instructions to benefit maximum number of students in these districts under the ‘Mukhyamantri Higher Education Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme’. He has asked to run a special campaign for this.
Chief Minister Sai also directed the collectors of other districts of the state to provide the benefit of loan facility being given at one percent interest rate for technical and professional higher education to the children of families with weaker economic conditions.
