New Delhi : As soon as Delhi’s new CM Atishi took charge, a new controversy has erupted over the ‘CM’s chair’. Atishi did not sit on the chair in the Chief Minister’s office on which Arvind Kejriwal used to sit till now. The new CM placed a second and smaller chair for herself and said that Kejriwal’s chair will keep waiting for his return.
BJP has called Atishi’s move against the Constitution.
BJP termed this decision of Atishi as sycophancy. Delhi BJP District President Virendra Sachdeva targeted CM Atishi and said, ‘Keeping two chairs on the table of the Chief Minister in this manner is an insult to the Constitution, rules and the post of Chief Minister. Atishi ji, this is not following any ideal, in simple words, it is sycophancy. With this act of hers, Atishi has hurt the dignity of the post of Chief Minister of Delhi as well as the sentiments of the people of Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal should answer – will you run the Delhi government with this kind of remote control?’
