On the question of terrorism on American soil, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that it is a fact that many countries do not have the same attitude towards terrorism when another country is its victim, but if they themselves are the victim of this terrorism then their attitude and stand is different.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has once again clarified the entire situation by giving a clear and straightforward statement on the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Talking to reporters after the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Conference in the US capital Washington, the External Affairs Minister said that the record of what happened at that time is very clear and the ceasefire happened after talks between the DGMOs of the two countries.

Along with this, India has rejected the claims of US President Donald Trump that America has forced a ceasefire between the two countries citing trade. However, despite India’s constant insistence, Trump is unable to give up the temptation of taking credit for this ceasefire. Whenever Trump gets a chance, he definitely says that he has stopped the war between the two nuclear-armed neighbors by forcing a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Trump has repeated this many times.

During the press conference in Washington, an Indian journalist asked the Foreign Minister that when Trump announced ceasefire between India and Pakistan, what was your reaction, what was going on in the PMO. Did you immediately contact the US administration to express your disagreement? And what did the White House say on this? Apart from this, the Foreign Minister was also asked whether Pakistan still has any role in determining US-India relations, especially after Operation Sindoor?

In response to this question, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “Look, even today India-America are the central factor in India-US relations. We are a big country. We are among the five largest economies in the world. We have the largest population. Our influence is growing. We should have this self-confidence. And this should be reflected while asking these questions.” On the question of ceasefire, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “The records of what happened at that time are very clear, the ceasefire was decided by the DGMOs of the two countries. So I leave it here.”

On the question of terrorism, he said that it is a fact that many countries do not have that view on terrorism when another country is its victim, but if they themselves are the victim of this terrorism then their view and stand is different. Let us tell you that India has emphasized on many occasions that neither America nor any third party had any role in stopping the fight with Pakistan after the recent Operation Sindoor. New Delhi has clarified that after India attacked several airbases of Pakistan on 9-10 May, Pakistan’s DGMO had offered a ceasefire to the Indian DGMO. Only after this, both the countries agreed to stop the fighting.

On June 18, when PM Narendra Modi and President Trump had a 35-minute phone conversation, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had also said the same thing while giving information about this conversation.

While informing the country about the conversation between PM Modi and President Trump, he had said that, ‘During this entire incident, there was no discussion on the India-US trade agreement or any proposal of mediation by America between India and Pakistan at any level, the discussion on stopping military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through the existing channels of communication between the two armed forces and this initiative was taken at the request of Pakistan. “

During this, India also said that India will never accept the mediation of a third country on any India-Pakistan issue.
