Gariaband: The district’s Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Dayal Das Baghel on Saturday December 14 , 2024 attended the Chief Minister’s Mass Kanya Vivaah program organised at the Police Parade Ground in the district headquarters Gariaband as the chief guest. On this occasion, the program was presided over by Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu. In the program, both the guests gave their blessings to the newly married couples, wishing them a happy married life .
On the occasion Minister-in-charge Baghel said that the mass marriage of 124 couples together at one place is a very big thing. He also congratulated the district administration. During for successful Kanya Vivah Yojana , Collector Deepak Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Nikhil Rakhecha were also present on the dais .
Addressing the program, the district in-charge minister Dayal Das Baghel further said that in today’s time marriage has become expensive, but the state government’s mass marriage program saves money. For encouragement, an assistance amount of 50 thousand is being given by the state government. An amount of 35 thousand has been provided directly through cheque. Congratulating the district administration, he said that the wedding procession was taken out with great pomp and the marriage is being conducted as per rituals. It is a good thing that people are now agreeing to get married together. He congratulated and wished both the parties involved in the marriage.
During is address , the minister-in-charge also spoke about the one-year tenure of the state government in the program. The minister said that in one year the government fulfilled many of its announcements. He assured that it is the government’s effort to ensure that every section of the society gets the benefits of the government schemes. During this, the minister-in-charge also distributed a check of assistance amount to the newly married couples under the marriage scheme and loans to the women of the self-help group under the Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh Tax.
Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu said that after the formation of BJP government in Chhattisgarh, the BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is taking big steps for the poor, farmers and youth of the state. The government is taking big decisions in public interest. Major development works are being approved in the state. This has been possible due to the blessings of all of you. He said that the BJP government has been formed in the state due to the blessings of the public. Work is being done to fulfill Modi’s guarantees in the state. Housing for the poor, benefits to farmers, promises made to every section have been fulfilled.
