CM Sai performs Bhoomi Pujan for various development works worth Rs 23 crore in Durg city today

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today on Friday September 27 performed the Bhoomi Pujan of various development works worth Rs 22 crore 97 lakh in Ward No. 03 of Durg city. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, MP Vijay Baghel, MLAs Gajendra Yadav and Rakesh Sen, Durg Mayor Dhiraj Bakliwal, along with many public representatives and enlightened citizens were present in large numbers.

The works for which Chief Minister Sai performed Bhoomi Pujan include development work of sports ground in Urla at the cost of Rs. 1 crore 98 lakh 39 thousand, development work at Rajendra Park Chowk for road safety at the cost of Rs. 88 lakh 47 thousand, tree plantation work at various places at the cost of Rs. 1 crore 66 lakh 02 thousand, asphalting at 8 places and paver block at 1 place in various wards at the cost of Rs. 1 crore 35 lakh 41 thousand, Dr. B.R. near Gaya Nagar 33 KV Power Station at the cost of Rs. 1 crore 99 lakh 43 thousand.

Besides Bhoomi pujan was performed for Ambedkar Sarva Samaj Manglik Bhawan construction work, cultural building construction work behind Satnam Bhawan Ayurvedic Hospital in ward number 15 at the cost of Rs 49 lakh 98 thousand, total 59 works (road, drain and culvert construction) in various wards of the city at the cost of Rs 8 crore 33 lakh, water supply part A and B in ward number 32 Shikshak Nagar at the cost of Rs 2 crore 72 lakh 37 thousand, installation of the statue of Lord Birsa Munda at Rajendra Park Chowk at the cost of Rs 25 lakh, additional hall construction work on the first floor of Gondwana Bhawan at the cost of Rs 50 lakh, various development works under MLA fund at the cost of Rs 2 crore 14 lakh and Bhoomi Pujan of various development works under Minister in-charge fund at the cost of Rs 65 lakh are included.

Let us inform you that Bhoomi Pujan is a revered Hindu ceremony performed to honor and seek blessings from Mother Earth before commencing any construction work
