Doctor cheated online for Rs 62 lakh, you will be shocked to know the new method of crime

Bilaspur: A case of online fraud of Rs 62 lakh has come to light from a female doctor. The accused have committed the crime by giving the false hope of getting drugs in the parcel. They made the false promise of drugs in the parcel that came from Dubai, then introduced themselves as CBI officers and got the money transferred online. On the complaint of the case, the Range Cyber ​​Police has started investigating the case.

According to the information, Vishakha Dey, a resident of Link Road Mitra Vihar Colony, is a doctor in a private hospital in Hasaud of Sakti district. On 12th September, an unknown person called her on her mobile, claiming to be an employee of Mumbai Parcel Office, and said that a parcel was booked from Mumbai to Dubai, that parcel got cancelled and a police uniform, ATM card, a drug called Ketamine was found in it. This has been seized by Mumbai Customs Department. He also informed that the said parcel had Dr. Dey’s Aadhaar card, mobile number and address. On this, Dr. Dey said that she had no information about the parcel. On this, she was told that the matter has been handed over to CBI.

After this, a call was made to her posing as a CBI officer and she was asked to check her belongings and bank account. She was told that the money deposited in the account would be sent to the bank account mentioned by her and that the money would be returned after two hours of investigation. Out of fear, Dr. Day transferred the amount deposited in the account to the bank account mentioned, but when the money was not returned even after two hours and he called on the mobile, it was found that the mobile was switched off. Then he realized that she had been duped online. After this, she went to the cyber police station and complained about the matter. Police have registered a case under sections 318, 4, 3, 5 and 66D of BNS, IT Act and are investigating the matter.
