UP Free Gas Cylinder News: Just before Holi, on Wednesday, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath distributed a subsidy of Rs 1890 crore for gas cylinder refill to 1.86 crore eligible families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. CM Yogi inaugurated this scheme by pressing the button in the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow. During this, the ministers in charge of all the districts of the state also participated in the program through video conferencing. The Chief Minister said that earlier one had to pay bribe for gas connection. Now this facility is being available for free. Along with Holi, gas cylinders are being given free on Diwali. He said that this time Holi and Ramadan are together, so all people will get the benefit of this scheme.

Many schemes are also running for daughters and farmers
CM Yogi said that the government is working with commitment for the welfare of the poor, farmers and daughters. So far, 22 lakh daughters in the state are being given assistance of Rs 25,000 per daughter for studies, while 4 lakh daughters have been married under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. From April, assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be given for the marriage of daughters. At the same time, after the results of the board examinations, meritorious daughters will be provided scooty and working women will also be provided residential facility in the name of Ahilyabai Holkar. At the same time, the purchase rate of wheat for farmers has been increased by Rs 150 to Rs 2425 per quintal.
More than 2 thousand Annapurna buildings are being constructed
The CM said that ration shops in rural areas are now being developed as Annapurna Bhawan, where there will be arrangements for essential goods, facility to deposit electricity bills and warehouse. More than 2 thousand Annapurna buildings are being constructed. Online income, caste, birth-death certificates are also being given through village secretariats.
The CM mentioned the progress of UP and the Maha Kumbh
The Chief Minister said that UP was once a sick state, but today it has become the second largest economy of the country. Apart from this, India will become the third largest economy in the world by 2027. Talking about the recently concluded Maha Kumbh, he said that more than 66 crore 30 lakh people participated in it, which shows the strength of UP. He said that the collectiveness displayed by the officers and employees of all the departments of the state in the Maha Kumbh has created a good impression about the state all over the world.
The Chief Minister appealed
The Chief Minister appealed that those who have not yet registered for the Ujjwala scheme, should get themselves registered. He appealed to everyone to celebrate Holi in a peaceful manner. At the end of the program, the Chief Minister got photographs taken with the beneficiaries and officials of gas providing companies. On this occasion, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Cabinet Minister Satish Chandra Sharma, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLC Mukesh Sharma, Ramchandra Pradhan, Engineer Avnish, MLAs Neeraj Vohra, Yogesh Shukla, Jaydevi, Surendra Maithani, public representatives and state government officials and Food and Logistics Department officials were present in this program organized in all 75 districts of the state.
Symbolic cheques handed over to 10 beneficiaries
In the program, the Chief Minister handed over symbolic cheques to 10 beneficiaries. These included Mamta Mishra, Rampata, Rahnuma Begum, Rubina, Shweta Singh, Rupa, Sonam Shukla, Gudiya, Mamta and Shikha Gautam. On this occasion, one video each related to Ujjwala Yojana and Maha Kumbh was also shown.
