Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, now even 12th pass candidates can apply for D.El.Ed. Earlier graduation was mandatory for D.El.Ed. Now it has been made intermediate. On September 9, 2024, the Allahabad High Court has canceled that part of the government order, in which graduation from intermediate was made the qualification for admission in two-year D.El.Ed. This decision was given by Justice Manish Kumar while hearing the petition filed by Yashan Khandelwal and 9 other candidates.
The High Court directed the government that the admission process will run till December 12 and the petitioners should also be allowed to participate in it. The registration process for admission in the two-year D.El.Ed. course has started from September 18. Candidates can apply till October 9. This time candidates from other states have also been allowed to participate in the application process. There are a total of 2,33,350 seats of D.El.Ed in UP, on which admission is to be done.
The admission process under UP D.El.Ed will be done through merit prepared on the basis of educational qualification. According to the schedule released earlier, the state merit list for admission will be released on October 16. The first phase of counseling will be conducted from October 17 to 30.
The admission process of the first phase will be completed by November 13. At the same time, the second phase of counseling will be from November 20 to December 10 and the admission process will be completed by 10. The applicant of General and OBC category will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 700. SC, ST category candidates will have to pay Rs 500 and differently abled candidates will have to pay Rs 200 as application fee.
