Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar
Former Chief Minister Kejriwal said that if the Chief Election Commissioner wants to do politics, he should contest elections from any assembly seat in Delhi. Former Chief Minister Kejriwal said that if the Chief Election Commissioner wants to do politics, he should contest elections from any assembly seat in Delhi. We are also sending him three bottles of Yamuna water. I don’t think the Election Commission has ever been ruined so much. I know they will put me in jail within two days. Let them do it. I am not afraid. The country has never seen such elections before.
Kejriwal said during the press conference that I want to tell Rajiv Kumar that history will never forgive him. No one has ruined the Election Commission as much as Rajiv Kumar has. I know that they will put me in jail within two days. The kind of language the Election Commission has used is not the language of the Commission. There is open hooliganism in Delhi, sheets are being distributed. The people of Delhi have never seen such an election. I will also send three bottles to the Election Commission. We have 20 bottles, which we have made at night. We will send three bottles to Rajiv Kumar. He should drink them and show us in the press conference. We will accept that we have made a mistake.
Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal’s troubles are not decreasing due to the statement of ‘poison in Yamuna’ before the Delhi elections. The Election Commission has asked AAP Chief Kejriwal 5 questions on this matter and asked him to answer by 11 am tomorrow.
The first of the five questions asked to him is what type of poison did the Haryana government mix in the Yamuna river? What is the evidence of the quantity, nature and method of identifying this poison, which could have led to a massacre? Where was the poison found? Which engineers of Delhi Jal Board identified it, where and how? What method did the engineers adopt to stop the poisonous water from entering Delhi?
What is the controversy regarding Yamuna?
Let us inform you that while addressing an election rally on January 27,2025 former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal raised the issue of poor quality of water being provided to Delhi by Haryana. Kejriwal had said, ‘There is no bigger sin than depriving people of water. BJP is trying to leave the people of Delhi thirsty with its dirty politics. They are mixing poison in the water being sent from Haryana. Kejriwal had further said, ‘This polluted water is so poisonous that it cannot be treated with the help of the water treatment plant present in Delhi. BJP wants to commit mass murder of Delhiites. But we will not let this happen.’
BJP-Congress raised questions
After this comment of Arvind Kejriwal, BJP and Congress had reacted sharply. Both had questioned the veracity of Kejriwal’s claims. After this, the Election Commission had issued a notice to Arvind Kejriwal and asked him to provide factual evidence in support of his statements. Kejriwal was earlier given a deadline of 8 pm on January 29. Arvind Kejriwal had filed a reply and cited the letter of the CEO of Delhi Jal Board in support of his claims. He had said that these comments were made to highlight a civic issue.
