Opener Abhishek Sharma scored a blistering century in 37 balls. He has become the second Indian to score the fastest century in T20 International. He has broken the record of Sanju Samson, who scored a century in 40 balls. However, among Indians, Rohit Sharma holds the record of scoring the fastest century in 35 balls, which is still unbroken.

The record of scoring the fastest century in overall T20 International is in the name of Sahil Chauhan of Estonia. He scored a century in 27 balls against the Cyprus team on 17 June 2024 last year.
