Indian Economy Growth: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the ET World Leaders Forum in New Delhi. 3 crore houses approved
PM Modi said that it has not even been 100 days yet, we are engaged in modernizing the physical infrastructure. We are expanding the social infrastructure. We are constantly pushing forward reforms. In the last three months, we have taken big decisions one after the other for the poor, farmers, youth and women. We have approved three crore new houses for the poor.
25 crore people came out of poverty in 1 decade
Prime Minister Modi said that in the last 1 decade, 25 crore people have come out of poverty and these people have not just come out of poverty, they have created a neo-middle class. This speed and scale is historic.
We have changed the government’s attitude towards the poor. They did not have bank accounts, did not have basic facilities. So we removed their obstacles. Those who did not have bank accounts for decades are today doing digital transactions from their accounts. Those for whom the doors of banks were closed. They are today getting bank loans without guarantee, they are becoming entrepreneurs today.
