In A Dahi Handi Procession and clay pot breaking competition which was was organized at Karond square of Bhopal. During this procession , Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also sang the bhajan Govinda Aala Re…. Actress Padmini Kolhapure, Gulshan Grover and many artists from the entertainment world participated in this program. During the procession the Chief Minister said that “We are Kanha’s people, we will chant Kanha.” However actor Gulshan Grover said – my heart becomes garden after coming here.
This is to inform you that Dahi Handi procession involves communities hanging a clay pot filled with yogurt (dahi), butter, or another milk-based food at a convenient or tall height. Young men and women form teams, make a human pyramid, and attempt to reach or break the pot. As they do so, people surround them, sing, play music, and cheer them on.
