Kanker : An accident occurred while defusing an IED planted by Naxalites in Koylibeda police station area of the district. BSF jawan B. Ishwar Rao was injured in the blast. This incident happened during a search operation near Hetarkasa. After first aid, the injured jawan was referred to Raipur by Army’s MI-17 helicopter.
The jawan has suffered injuries on his hand and face, but his condition is said to be out of danger. This accident happened when the team went on a search operation from Panidobir camp. Security forces are continuously conducting search operations in the area.
