NSUI workers indulge in misconduct in hostel, ABVP expresses strong objection

Raipur : Last night, in Major Gore Hostel No. 02 located in Science College, Raipur, NSUI District Secretary and College President Rahul Mahajan and his other companions, in a drunken state, forcibly entered the hostel at 2:30 am and beat up the students and abused them. Angry with this incident, about 80-90 students reached Saraswati Nagar police station at 4:00 am to surround it.

Despite this, the police did not register an FIR. After pressure from the students, they were sent back after taking only a written application. It is being reported that due to pressure from NSUI and police, the student who had given the written application has withdrawn the application.

It is worth mentioning that a day before the incident, Congress state president Deepak Baij had made his presence felt in Saraswati Nagar police station in support of the NSUI district secretary. Such incidents make it clear how low the moral standards of Congress and NSUI have fallen.

ABVP Raipur Metropolitan Minister Pratham Rao Futane strongly condemned the incident and said, “The falling standards of NSUI and Congress are evident from the fact that state president Deepak Baij and Municipal Corporation Chairman Pramod Dubey sit in the police station in support of a person who gets drunk and creates ruckus in the hostel at midnight and beats up students.

Rahul Mahajan, who is the Raipur district secretary of NSUI, already has cases registered against him for beating up students in the college campus, threatening to kill them and abusing them.” Pratham Rao Futane has asked the Congress leadership to immediately expel anti-social elements like Rahul Mahajan from the party. He has also demanded the administration to seriously investigate the incident and take strict action against the culprits.
