Raipur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on October 5 transferred an amount of more than 20 thousand crore rupees directly into the accounts of more than 9 crore 40 lakh farmers of the country as the 18th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from Washim district of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today virtually participated in the online transfer program of the 18th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from Science College Ground in the capital Raipur. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transferring an amount of more than Rs 566 crore 77 lakh to the accounts of more than 24 lakh 98 thousand farmers of the state as the 18th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Sai congratulated and wished the farmers of the state on this occasion.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that this time 66 thousand 485 more farmers have taken advantage of the scheme as compared to the 17th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Even before this, the number of farmers who took advantage of the 17th installment was 01 lakh 11 thousand 518 more than the 16th installment. He said that the increase in the number of farmers benefiting from installment after installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a proof of how rapidly India’s agricultural sector is progressing. It is also a proof of the strong trust of farmers on the Modi government.
Sai said that among the farmer brothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh who are getting benefited today under the 18th installment, 02 lakh 49 thousand 867 are forest-lease holders and 30 thousand 408 farmers are getting benefited under the PVTG scheme. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the progress of farmers in the country is making the slogan of Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan meaningful. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankaram Verma, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs Motilal Sahu, Purandar Mishra, Ishwar Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb and Dr. Rampratap were present.
