Salwan Momika, a Christian of Iraqi origin, was to appear before the court on Thursday in the case of burning the Quran in protest against Islam. But after the news of his death, the Stockholm court postponed the hearing.
Salwan Momika, a protester who burned the Quran in front of a mosque in Sweden, has been shot dead. Salwan had burnt copies of the Quran in 2023, after which many Muslim countries criticized him. According to the report, the attacker entered his house in Stockholm and shot him. Momika was live on TikTok at the time of the attack.
Iraqi-origin Christian Salwan Momika was to appear before the court on Thursday in the case of burning the Quran in protest against Islam. But after the news of his death, the Stockholm court postponed the hearing.
