FIR registered. :Jaipur: Was there a conspiracy to overturn the Vande Bharat train in Rajasthan? This question has arisen after the Ahmedabad-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express collided with a cement block in Pali, Rajasthan.
The police is trying to find out who and why placed the cement slab on the track. Thankfully, no accident occurred. However, cement blocks were found placed at the same place the next day as well. North West Railway CPRO Shashi Kiran said that the cattle guard attached to the front of the engine collided with the cement block. The train had to stop here for some time. He said that no one was injured in the incident. ASI Shyam Singh said, ‘The incident took place on Friday August 23 night between Jawai and Birolia, which comes under the jurisdiction of Sumerpur police station. A case has been registered against unknown people.’
The police officer said that the cement block was placed on the track. These are used to make footpaths. Its size was quite large. After the collision, a big mark was seen on the front part of the train. Its weight was said to be around 5 kg. A media report said that on August 24, two large cement blocks were placed at the same place. However, the cement blocks were noticed and removed from the track before the train arrived on the second day evening.
After placing cement blocks on the track for two consecutive days, the officials have intensified the investigation on the entire section. Track surveillance has been increased. There have been many rail accidents in recent times. The possibility of conspiracy has also been expressed in some accidents. Sometimes some people also place stones, coins etc. on the track as a mischief. However, doing so is extremely dangerous.
