Raipur: The seventeenth foundation day celebration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University Chhattisgarh was organised today on Monday September 16 in the presence of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal was also present on this occasion. Health and Family Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, who was present as the chief guest, congratulated the university on its foundation day, highlighting the contribution of Maharishi Charak and Maharishi Sushruta, the father of India’s traditional medical system.
He said that whatever requirement will be there at the Chhattisgarh government level regarding the teaching department and medical education in the university will be fulfilled.
Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, who was present in the program, discussed in detail about the training of skilled manpower and the graduate degree course of paramedical in the university. He emphasized on making proper arrangements in the university to start short-term courses on various subjects like CT scan, MRI, Cathlab etc. He assured that whatever need is felt at the level of the central government, he will try to fulfill it. Vice Chancellor of Ayush University Dr. P.K. Patra gave the welcome address on the foundation day celebration. He presented the sixteen-year development journey of the university in a concise manner and also highlighted the future plans and discussed the importance of starting a teaching department and MBBS course in the university and research.
