Around 80% of Pensioners Submitted Certificates in Drive Organised in November
Raipur: In order to facilitate pensioners of the Chhattisgarh Government, the Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund has conducted a special campaign throughout November for the submission of Digital Life Certificates. Under the direction of Director Padmini Bhoi Sahu, banks across the state have collected life certificates from pensioners.
Considering the difficulties faced by elderly pensioners in visiting bank branches, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, along with the Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh, has enabled pensioners to submit Digital Life Certificates at any bank under the “Digital Life Certificate Mission 4.0.”
Special camps were organised in various cities of the state by the State Bank of India and eight other authorised banks, where pensioners’ Digital Life Certificates were collected using facial authentication technology.
Additionally, pensioners were provided the facility to submit their Digital Life Certificates from home by using their Aadhaar and mobile number through the “Jeevan Pramaan” mobile app or website.
According to the information received so far, 80 percent of the state’s pensioners have already submitted their Digital Life Certificates.
