Bastar is becoming a new land of dialogue, compassion, and trust – Chief Minister
Raipur: The state government’s ‘Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025’ and ‘Niyad Nella Naar Yojana’ have ushered in a new revolution in the Bastar region. As a result of these policies, youth involved in the violent ideology of Maoism have gained confidence and are returning to the mainstream and moving towards development.
Chief Minister Sai said that under the “Puna Margem – Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” campaign in Bijapur district, 51 Maoists carrying a total reward of ₹66 lakh have surrendered on october 29, 2025 due to the continuous efforts of the security forces. All of them have expressed faith in the Constitution and pledged to live a respectable life in a democratic system.
The Chief Minister said that this step is a proof that Bastar is emerging from the darkness of fear and violence and entering a new era of peace, trust, and progress. The government’s sensitive policies and humanitarian approach have emerged as the biggest force behind this change. He said that the government believes that dialogue is the only permanent solution to this problem.
Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the country is now rapidly moving towards the goal of a Naxal-free India. The Chhattisgarh government is working in this direction with commitment and sensitivity.
Chief Minister Sai appealed to the people of the state to participate in this journey of change, so that every village in Chhattisgarh can become a symbol of peace, progress and harmony.
