Emphasis on Digital Productivity Enhancement to Strengthen Responsible Administration

Raipur: A training on Digital Productivity Enhancement and AI Integration is being organised at IIIT, Nava Raipur .

This program is being organised on the initiative of the state government to increase the speed and efficiency of administrative work by training officials and employees posted in the ministry on the latest technologies and applications of IT and AI.

The chief guest of the program on Saturday September 27, 2025 was Avinash Champawat, Secretary of the General Administration Department; Rahul Bhagat, Secretary to the Chief Minister, was the guest of honor; and Professor Dr. OP Vyas, Director of IIIT , presided over the program.

Participating officials and employees discussed in detail how to promote digital productivity to strengthen responsible administration. On the first day, participants were trained in the use of advanced features of MS Word, Google Docs, Excel, and Google Sheets, as well as data modeling.

In his address Avinash Champawat, Secretary, General Administration Department said that skill development is a continuous process that enhances both personality and work culture. He described AI-based training as a milestone in employee capacity building and urged participants to take full advantage of it.

Rahul Bhagat, Secretary, Department of Good Governance and Convergence, highlighted the role of technology in citizen-centric governance, stating that AI tools play a crucial role in enhancing government efficiency. Citing the example of the e-office system, he said that effective use of technology can make governance more transparent and accountable.

Professor Dr. OP Vyas, Director-IIIT addressed the workshop, stating that to use AI smartly, we must be vigilant and cautious. A habit of continuous learning, starting with practical applications of AI, will make us more AI-friendly. He emphasized that data security is crucial, and therefore, we should not share sensitive information with AI to prevent its misuse in the public domain.

Prof. K.G. Srinivas assured that this training will be of high quality and result-oriented. More than 100 officers and employees from the General Administration, Home, and other departments participated in the first phase of this training. This training began on Thursday September 24 and is being conducted until October 25, 2025.

AI tools and digital technologies will prove to be unprecedentedly helpful in making governance more accountable and efficient. Such training programs will qualitatively improve the efficiency of officers and employees and provide new strength to citizen-centric governance.” – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
