7 lakh people were given jobs. Unemployment rate came down to 2.4%

Lucknow: Yogi Government Budget: On Tuesday December 17 ,2024 CM Yogi put the opposition in the dock on the issue of unemployment. While giving the account of his government, he told how many recruitments have been done in the last seven years.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely targeted the opposition on raising the issue of unemployment in the Assembly on Tuesday December 17,2024 . While giving an account of the recruitments done since 2017, he not only rejected the allegations of the opposition, but also showed them the mirror by referring to the recruitment scams that happened during the SP regime. The Chief Minister said, recruitments were not being done due to the ill intentions of the previous government, whereas now recruitments are being done in a transparent manner and impartially without any discrimination. The rules of reservation are also being fully followed. The CM said that the UP Education Service Selection Commission will soon start the process of recruitment to the vacant posts in all the departments related to education.

Under Rule-56 in the Assembly, Manoj Kumar Paras of SP raised the issue of unemployment in the state. He said that more than 4.50 lakh posts are vacant in government departments. There has been no recruitment in the Basic Education Department since 2019. Pankaj Patel said that more than 20 lakh BTC and 15 lakh B.Ed trained youth are wandering for jobs in the state. More than 78 thousand posts are vacant in the Basic Education Department. SP’s Pooja Saroj also said that the youth are disappointed due to frequent paper leaks. A large number of posts of various cadres are vacant in the Health Department.

Due to this, the medical system in hospitals has collapsed.

Responding to this question of the opposition, the CM said that this issue raised by the opposition is important and sensitive, but the figures of the opposition are beyond reality. He also advised the opposition to keep the correct facts in mind while maintaining the dignity of the House. He said that the new UP Education Service Selection Commission is ready for recruitment to the vacant posts in the Basic, Secondary, Higher, Technical, Vocational, Medical Education Department related to education and recruitment will start soon. He said that our government has made more than 1.60 lakh recruitments in the education department alone. These are the same recruitments which could not be filled due to the ill intentions of the previous government. 1.56 lakh police personnel have been recruited. Describing unemployment as a big challenge, the CM said that in Uttar Pradesh with a population of 25 crore, 56 to 60 percent of the working force is youth. In the last session, our government passed the Public Examination and Prevention of Unfair Means Act-2024 to effectively curb the incidents of paper leak. Rejecting the opposition’s allegations of no recruitment of teachers, the CM said that recently 69000 teachers and before that 68500 teachers have been recruited.

Yogi cornered the SP and said that the governments had played with the quality of education. Talking about Shikshamitras, the CM said that the Supreme Court had ordered the termination of their services, but the state government has kept them on a fixed honorarium. The recruitment process of more than 44,000 teachers has been completed by the Secondary Education Selection Commission Board and the Higher Education Selection Commission Board.

Fake degree holder made chairman of recruitment commission
Taking aim at the opposition which raised questions on recruitment, the CM said that before the BJP government was formed, people of the same caste were selected for 56 out of 86 SDM posts by the UP Public Service Commission. The future of the youth was spoiled by making an ineligible and fake degree holder the chairman of the commission. The person who passed high school, intermediate, graduation third division and his PhD degree was also fake. Still he was made the chairman of the UP Public Service Commission.
Unemployment rate reduced from 19 to 2.4 percent

CM said that due to the zero tolerance policy of the government, more than 40 lakh crores of investment has come to UP. Through this, there is a guarantee of providing jobs to more than 1.25 crore youth. Investment has happened due to better law and order and the state becoming riot free. As a result of this, the unemployment rate which was 19 percent between 2012-17 has come down to 2.4 percent today. He said that UP has the highest transaction with banks. Till 2017, the CD ratio was around 44 and today it is 60 percent. We have set a target of increasing it to 75 percent ,CM added.

In the House, the CM also made sharp jibes at the opposition members several times. He also targeted Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra without naming her. He said that yesterday a Congress leader was roaming around in Parliament with a Palestine bag and we are sending the youth of UP to Israel. He said that if the opposition members work after understanding the plans and policies of the government, then the youth of the region and they will benefit, otherwise the same thing will happen as happened in Kundarki.
What happened in Kundarki

In UP’s Kundarki Assembly seat, Ramveer Thakur has created history. The BJP candidate is the lone Hindu from a Muslim-dominated area and defeated 11 other Muslim candidates with around 1.4 lakh votes. With the win in Kundarki, the BJP retakes the seat after a 30-year gap
