Raipur: Under Good Governance Tihar, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held a joint review meeting of the officials of Raigarh, Korba and Janjgir-Champa districts in the Srijan meeting room of Raigarh district office and reviewed the development works, public welfare schemes and administrative arrangements in detail.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Sai gave clear instructions to the officials that the benefits of the government schemes should reach the last person in an effective and timely manner and there should not be any negligence in solving the problems of the common people.
Finance Minister OP Choudhary, MP Radheshyam Rathiya, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, MLA Laljit Singh Rathiya, District Panchayat President Shikha Ravindra Gavel, Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Rajat Bansal along with public representatives and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Sai said that the positive impact of Good Governance Tihar is now visible in every village and even cities. The government and administration are solving problems by reaching out directly to the public, which has further strengthened the confidence of the people. He told the officials that we all are servants of the public and it is our primary responsibility to provide better facilities to the common citizens, he remarked.
Chief Minister Sai, while doing a special review of the revenue cases, gave instructions for prompt resolution of the cases which were beyond the time limit and were pending for more than a year. He said that small matters related to revenue directly affect the lives and livelihood of common citizens, hence sensitivity and seriousness is necessary in resolving them. Chief Minister Shri Sai gave instructions to immediately correct the errors in the revenue records and to take strict action against the concerned employees and Patwaris who commit deliberate mistakes, he noted.
Chief Minister Sai told in the meeting that Chief Minister Helpline Service will be started in the state soon. Through this, citizens will be able to lodge complaints directly over phone or online and the timely resolution of complaints will be continuously monitored. He told the officials that sensitivity and accountability should be the top priority in redressal of complaints, he stated.
Reviewing the summer conditions, the Chief Minister directed to pay special attention to the drinking water system. He said that it should be ensured that there is no drinking water crisis in any area during summer. Along with this, instructions were also given to the health department to make advance preparations to deal with possible seasonal diseases with the onset of rainy season.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Sai stressed on the judicious use of diesel and petrol as per the appeal of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that there is sufficient stock of petrol and diesel available in the state and citizens do not need to worry about anything. The Chief Minister also directed to take strict action against those who spread the word that we all are servants of the public and it is our primary responsibility to provide better facilities to the common citizens.
While reviewing the preparations for Kharif season, the Chief Minister took information about the storage and distribution system of fertilizers and seeds. He directed the collectors to ensure that fertilizers and seeds are available to the farmers on time and they do not face any kind of problem. In view of the limited availability of DAP, the Chief Minister stressed on making farmers aware about the use of alternative fertilizers like SSP, Urea, Nano Urea and Nano DAP.
In the direction of women empowerment, the Chief Minister gave instructions to prepare more number of “Drone Didi” and said that women should be made self-reliant by providing technical training and financial support. This will expand modern technology in the agricultural sector and increase the income of women.
While reviewing the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, the Chief Minister gave instructions for its effective implementation and stressed on connecting more and more beneficiaries with the scheme. During the review of Ayushman Bharat Scheme, he said that merely making cards is not enough, but eligible beneficiaries should also get the benefit of quality treatment. The Chief Minister praised the district administration on the better condition of Ayushman card usage in Korba district.
Expressing displeasure over the rejection of relatively large number of applications in the Seva Setu portal, the Chief Minister gave instructions for improvements. He said that citizens should not face unnecessary trouble for essential documents like income, caste and residence certificates.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister informed that the construction work of Donga-Kohrod road in Janjgir-Champa district has been included in this year’s budget. Instructions were given to the concerned department to immediately send the administrative and financial approval proposal to the government.
Expressing concern over the relatively low results of board exams of private schools in Raigarh district, Chief Minister Shri Sai directed the Collector to investigate it. He stressed on making special efforts to improve the quality of education and better future of the students.
On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Jain, IG Ramgopal Garg along with Collector, Superintendent of Police, DFO, District Panchayat CEO and other district level officers of Raigarh, Korba and Janjgir-Champa districts were present.
