Bahraich: Violence broke out between two communities during the immersion of Durga idol in the district. Despite the efforts of the district administration to make the procession peaceful, incidents of firing and stone pelting destroyed everything. A youth involved in the immersion procession died in the firing, after which there was a fierce uproar in the district. After which the police have arrested 5 accused related to the violence. Out of which 2 were encountered. Now the statement of the accused who fired the bullet has come out regarding this whole matter.
Let us inform you that a youth named Sarfaraz fired a bullet during the violence, which led to the death of a person named Ramgopal Mishra. The police have arrested 5 accused in this entire case. After which the statement of the accused Sarfaraz’s sister has come to the fore. Sarfaraz’s sister Rukhsar says that the brother fired the bullet not to kill anyone, but for self-defense, because a violent mob was standing outside the house.
Not only this, Rukhsar also says that her husband and brother-in-law were not present on the day of the incident, yet the STF has picked them up. The police should investigate the matter thoroughly and tell what is the fault of the husband and brother-in-law, why have they been picked up? We have left everything to the Yogi government, whatever they do will be right. The government should listen to our side and investigate the entire matter. On the day of the incident, firing took place from both sides. Nothing was one-sided.
More than 30 people in custody
At present, the police have registered a case against 10 people including 6 named accused in this case. Apart from this, more than 30 people have been detained. Police have detained Mohammad Aavesh, Tajamul, Mohammad Nisar, Dilshad, Rehan, Irfan, Habibullah, Arman, Mohammad Nadeem, Adil, Javed, Lareb, Aslam, Riyaz Ahmed, Mahfooz Alam, Maqsood Alam, Shami Mohammad, Walker, Irshad Ahmed, Imran, Riyaz, Zahid, Mohammad Danish, Mohammad Salim, Afghan, Imran Ansari.
