Allotment of departments in Maharashtra: CM Fadnavis gets Home , while Eknath Shinde gets PWD and Ajit Pawar gets Finance

Nagpur : In Maharashtra, the allotment of departments among the ministers in the Devendra Fadnavis government took place today on December 21, 2024 . CM Fadnavis will have the Home Department. He will also have the responsibility of Law and Justice Department, General Administration Department and Information and Charge Department.

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has been given departments like Urban Development, Housing and Public Works Department( PWD) . Ajit Pawar has been given the responsibility of Finance and Planning Department. Apart from this, Chandrashekhar Bawankule has been given the Revenue Department.

A week after the swearing in of ministers in the Mahayuti government of Maharashtra, the allotment of departments has been done. According to the information, CM Devendra Fadnavis will have the Home Ministry. While Shiv Sena chief and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has got the responsibility of Urban Development Department. At the same time, the Finance Ministry has again come in the account of NCP President and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.

Youngest minister Aditi Tatkare gets Women and Child Development

The youngest minister in Devendra Fadnavis cabinet, NCP’s Aditi Tatkare has been given Women and Child Development Department and the oldest Ganesh Naik has been given Forest Department. Mangal Prabhat Lodha has been given Skill Development Employment, former Union Minister Narayan Rane’s son Nitesh Rane has been given Fisheries Production and Port and Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar has been given Information and Technology Department.

These MLAs have been made Ministers of State

Among the Ministers of State, Madhuri Misal has been given Urban Development, Transport, Social Justice, Minority Development and Medical Education Department, Ashish Jaiswal has been given Finance, Planning. Law and Justice Department, Meghna Bordikar has been given Public Health and Family Welfare and Water Supply, Indranil Naik has been given Higher and Technical Education, Tourism and Tribal Department, Yogesh Kadam has been given Home Department (City), Pankaj Bhoyar has been given Home Department (Rural), Education, Housing Department.

Expansion of the state cabinet on 15 December

Earlier in Maharashtra, the state cabinet was expanded on 15 December. During this, a total of 39 MLAs of the Mahayuti constituent parties (BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP) took oath as ministers and ministers of state. In which 19 MLAs of BJP became ministers, including three women. 11 MLAs from Shiv Sena quota got a place in the cabinet. While nine MLAs from NCP (Ajit) quota became ministers, including one woman.
