Kathmandu: Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba will be on an official visit to India for five days starting Sunday August 18 at the invitation of her Indian counterpart External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday August 17 . According to the statement, the Nepalese Foreign Minister will hold meetings with Jaishankar and “discuss matters of mutual interest to strengthen Nepal-India relations and promote cooperation.”
“As part of the regular exchange of high-level visits between Nepal and India, the visit will further strengthen the centuries-old, deep-rooted and multifaceted bilateral ties,” the release said. An official from Arzu Rana Deuba’s secretariat confirmed to ANI that she will also tie “Rakshabandhan” to Vijay Chauthaiwale on Monday August 19 . “The Foreign Minister was scheduled to visit India next weekend for a medical checkup. During the visit of the Indian Foreign Secretary earlier this week, an invitation for a formal visit of the Nepal Foreign Minister was received.
