Tech billionaire and President Donald Trump’s key ally Elon Musk brought his children for his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Blair House on Thursday. The Tesla CEO’s one-on-one talk with Modi is expected to be focused on Starlink’s pending licence approval in India, news agency Reuters reported. The 53-year-old might also bring up reduction in tariffs on electric vehicles (EVs), and a possible SpaceX collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Ahead of the meeting, Musk was seen walking into the Blair House, where PM Modi is staying, with his children.
This is not the first time Musk has taken his children to an official meeting. Only earlier this week, the billionaire’s youngest son, X, accompanied him to the White House as President Trump signed an executive order. The four-year-old was seen playing around in the Oval Office and whispering in the presidet’s ear as his father spoke to reporters about his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its role in cutting federal spends.
PM Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump later in the day. The two are expected to discuss trade, defence cooperation, security and tariffs among other issues.
Reacting to the first visuals of the meeting between Musk and PM Modi, founder of MASBR Group tweeted: “A meeting of visionaries shaping the future! PM Modi and Elon Musk coming together signals groundbreaking possibilities in innovation, technology, and sustainable progress. When leadership meets ambition, the world watches. Exciting times ahead for India’s tech and EV revolution!”
