About 8.5 lakh families of Chhattisgarh will soon get permanent homes. Chhattisgarh has today received approval of 8,46,931 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin by the Government of India. This includes 6,99,331 houses as per the SECC 2011 list and 1,47,600 houses as per the Awas Plus list. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of a large number of houses.
For this, he has also thanked Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. The Chief Minister said that this approval under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin will play an important role in improving the living standards of the people in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, the dream of lakhs of families to have their own house will come true, which will create a sense of stability and security in their lives.
Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is continuously working for the upliftment of the poor and deprived sections. This approval of housing received by Chhattisgarh will prove to be a milestone in the development of our state.
