According to sources, ‘One Nation One Election’ will be implemented in the current tenure of the NDA government. It is also being said that caste census will be conducted soon across the country. Former Bihar government minister and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha has justified the caste census.
On One Nation, One Election, Sanjay Jha said that JDU delegation had presented its views before Ramnath Kovind’s committee. There should be ‘One Nation, One Election’. We are in support of it. Sanjay Jha said that every four months the country comes into election mode and work gets affected.
He further said that the sooner ‘One Nation, One Election’ happens the better. The Bihar government itself had conducted the caste census. Nitish Kumar had conducted it. It would be good if caste census is conducted in the entire country.

This information has come to light on the completion of 100 days of the third term of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi took oath as Prime Minister for the third time on June 9, five days after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were announced on June 4. ‘One country, one election’ is one of the priorities of the Modi government. BJP had also mentioned this in the manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and promised that work would be done on implementing the recommendations of the committee.
