Tensions are constantly rising due to the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. Meanwhile, nearly 10,000 Indians have returned home from various Gulf countries. Nearly 3,000 Indians from Iran have been brought back to India using special aircraft.

Nearly 10,000 Indians have returned from various Gulf countries so far. Of these, approximately 3,000 Indians from Iran have been brought back to India using special aircraft.
Also, approximately 2,500 Indians have returned from Kuwait. Due to the attacks in Lebanon, more than 1,500 Indians are returning from Beirut, while approximately 3,000 Indians have returned from the UAE and Qatar.
Most of these Indians returning with the assistance of the Indian government are arriving in Mumbai and Delhi by chartered flights. Special centers have also been set up in Kochi and Kozhikode in Kerala, Amritsar, and Lucknow for expatriates returning from the Gulf.
The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a “Red Alert” for Iran and Lebanon, advising Indians against traveling to these countries.
Passengers Arrive in Delhi from Dubai
The first Air India flight from Dubai arrived in Delhi today following the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. This flight brought significant relief to passengers stranded in Dubai. A total of 149 passengers arrived in India on the VT-EDC flight at Indira Gandhi International Airport this morning.
However, some flights from India to Dubai had to return to India. Emirates flight EK 501 (Mumbai–Dubai) finally landed safely in Dubai on March 3rd after rerouting twice. Several other flights had to return to their base airports as a precautionary measure.
Delhi-Dubai flight EK 513 departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport in the morning but had to return shortly after takeoff. Similarly, Bengaluru-Dubai flight EK 569 also failed to reach Dubai.
Canadian flights also affected
Due to the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, flights from Canada to Israel and Dubai have been canceled until March 22nd. The war situation is also affecting Canadian flights. According to Air Canada, services will resume on March 23rd.
