Raipur : The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken the Congress to task for scams and frauds and said that the Congress is not only avoiding the public in the Raipur South Assembly bypols due to its own corrupt conduct, but is also keeping away from election campaign those of its representatives who had crossed all limits of corruption during their tenure. Leader of Opposition in Raipur Municipal Corporation Meenal Chaubey, BJP councilor party spokesperson Mrityunjay Dubey said that marginalising the capital’s mayor Aijaz Dhebar by removing him from Raipur South bypoll responsibility is enough to prove this fact.
Leader of Opposition Mrs. Chaubey, Councilor Party spokesperson Mrityunjay Dubey said that due to the corrupt activities of Mayor Dhebar, he has been kept away from Raipur South Assembly bypoll . During Dhebar’s tenure, Raipur Municipal Corporation was made a den of corruption. Under the political patronage of Dhebar and the previous Bhupesh government of Congress, there was a flood of scams in the corporation during the Congress government. BJP leaders in their joint statement alleged that many scams including Budha Talab fountain scam, Unipol scam, misuse of Smart City Fund took place under the patronage of Dhebar.
In the last 5 years Raipur city went into the pit instead of progressing. She said that the way Raipur Mayor Aijaz Dhebar is completely missing from the election scene. It seems that Congress also considers Mayor Dhebar’s tenure as a major responsibility for their defeat in all the four assembly seats in the last assembly elections, and it seems this is why he has been asked to stay away from Raipur bypoll.
Leader of Opposition Mrs. Chaubey, Councilor Party Spokesperson Mr. Dubey and Councilor Mrs. Dubey said that this is why the Congress party has kept Ajzaz Dhebar away from the Assembly bypoll to be held in Raipur South and because of this Dhebar is neither seen in any political program of Congress nor is he going to Raipur South Assembly constituency for campaigning. BJP leaders said that due to their misdeeds, the Congress and its leaders have become convinced that the people of Raipur South Assembly constituency will once again defeat the Congress and make BJP candidate Sunil Soni win with a huge margin .
