Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will attend the inaugural ceremony.
Raigarh : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will inaugurate the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh-2024 organised at Ramlila Maidan in Raigarh on September 7 at 5.30 pm. This ceremony will be immersed in cultural essence in Raigarh, the city of art and culture for the next 10 days. Renowned artists of the country will reach Raigarh to perform.
On the first day, renowned actress and classical dancer Padmashree Hema Malini will stage the famous Radha Raas Bihari. The ceremony will begin with Ganesh Puja, lighting of lamps and Ganesh Vandana. After which Ramlal ji, senior artist of Raigarh Kathak Gharana and Padma Shri awardee this year, will be honored with Kathak Ghungroo Samman. Besides a Kathak group dance will be performed by Bhupendra Bareth and fellow artists. After this, the audience will get an opportunity to enjoy the folk genre Karma dance of Chhattisgarh’s soil. Karma dance will be performed by Maniyar Bhagat and companions of Jashpur. At the end of the program, Padmashree Hema Malini will present the Radha Raas Bihari dance drama.
A total of 62 events from local artists to national-international artists will be organised in the 10-days event of Chakradhar Samaroh. The programs includes singing and kavi sammelan by Dr. Kumar Vishwas and others along with various forms of dance and plays .
The stage is ready for the Chakradhar Samaroh with siting arrangements for 29 thousand people.
