Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the grand military ceremony and exhibition organised at the Science College ground. The Army welcomed Chief Minister Sai in its own style by making him wear a jacket. The Chief Minister was thrilled to see the feat of the Indian Army and praised their skill and capability. Looking at the enthusiasm of the common citizens, Chief Minister Sai announced to extend the two-day military exhibition by one day. Now the exhibition will be organised till October 7 in addition to October 5 and 6. The exhibition will be organized from 8 am to 10 am in the day and from 6 pm to 8 pm in the evening.
Addressing the military exhibition ceremony, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that I am thrilled and proud to see the strength of our army, their capability and the valor of our brave soldiers in this exhibition. The Chief Minister said that a single soldier of the army is enough to awaken the spirit of patriotism in people. Just seeing a fit and healthy soldier in army uniform fills us with enthusiasm. The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day, when we see our soldiers parading on the path of duty, then every Indian thinks that I wish we were also a part of the Indian Army. He said that our army is counted among the most powerful armies in the world. Our army is famous all over the world for its discipline and efficiency.
Chief Minister Sai said that after independence, whenever there was a threat to the country, our army has given a befitting reply to the enemies. Today no country has the courage to look at India with raised eyes. Similarly, these soldiers of ours have also played an important role in the internal security of the country. Even when there is a natural disaster, we remember our army first. The Chief Minister said that in this exhibition, Bhishma will be able to observe T-90 tanks, BMP, L-70 and other modern military equipment, which have been used by our armed forces to achieve victory against the enemies. Along with this, you will also be able to enjoy amazing and wonderful performances like para jumping, Khukhri dance, dare devil motorcycling and horse riding.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that young friends have come in large numbers to see this exhibition. It is a very good thing that people have also come here with their children, this will definitely inspire these children and if they get an opportunity to serve the country by joining the army, then do not let it go from your hands. Agniveer Yojana also gives you this important opportunity. Chief Minister Sai said that yesterday in Abujhmad area of Bastar, security forces killed 31 Maoists in an encounter with Maoist terrorists. I congratulate the soldiers of the security forces for this big success. During the last 9 months, our soldiers have continuously achieved major successes against Maoist terrorism. So far 191 Maoists have been killed.
Chief Minister Sai also said that this is an indication of the change coming in Bastar that the youth of Bastar are joining the security forces in large numbers and driving away the Maoists. In the exhibition of the military ceremony, Brigadier Aman Anand gave detailed information about the weapons and tanks used by the Indian Army to Chief Minister Sai and others. CM Sai also observed the tank T-90 Bhishma, one of the main attractions of the exhibition, and inquired about its capability and specialty.
The Chief Minister observed the state-of-the-art weapons used in the army, drones, rifles, schemes being run for ex-servicemen, Agnipath Yojana, Chhattisgarh Herbals stall. It is worth mentioning that during the military exhibition, various weapons, tanks, rifles etc. used by the Indian Army in the war and currently being used were displayed. The exhibition also includes such tanks and weapons, which are not in use at present and the army has preserved it as a heritage. The Chief Minister also visited all the stalls and took information from the army officers.
