NIA raids 22 places in five states, arrests a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist

New Delhi: The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has raided 22 places in five states including Delhi in a major case of terror funding and conspiracy. It has been reported that a terrorist of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has been arrested in the raid.

The National Investigation Agency on Saturday October5 conducted searches at 22 locations in several states as part of its probe against Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group, officials said. They said searches were underway in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Delhi.

The NIA said several documents, electronic devices, pamphlets, magazines and handwritten letters were seized during the searches.

The NIA said the case pertains to a conspiracy by members of the politburo, central committee, activists and supporters of the banned organisations.
