Sadbhavna Diwas was organised in Mahant Laxmi Narayan Das Mahavidyalaya, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was remembered

Raipur : Sadbhavna Diwas was organised at Mahant Laxmi Narayan Das Mahavidyalaya today, which was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi. The event was organised under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle and NSS unit of Mahant Mahavidyalaya. The program was led by the coordinators Dr. Mukherjee and Laxmi Sahu.

As the chief guest, Dr Nigam, former Vice Chancellor of Shankaracharya University, Chhattisgarh, attended the programme and threw light on the life and contribution of Rajiv Gandhi. He said, “Rajiv Gandhi was a true visionary of India and the architect of modern India. He implemented the Gram Panchayat scheme in a systematic manner to ensure public participation in rural India. His contribution can never be forgotten.”

The Principal of the college also threw light on various aspects of Rajiv Gandhi’s life and said, “Rajiv Gandhi is the architect of the modern India we are seeing today.”

In the program, the Chairman of the Management Committee Ajay Tiwari welcomed all the guests and praised the important step taken by Rajiv Gandhi to give voting rights to the youth at the age of 18.

On this occasion, all the professors of the college including Prof. Anjani Shukla, former Chairman and Private University Secretary Anil Tiwari were present. The program was successfully conducted by Pritam Das.
