Bahraich: After the Bahraich violence, the administration has now intensified the action. The administration is preparing to run a bulldozer on the house of accused Abdul Hameed. The notice of which has been pasted by PWD. PWD has said through the notice that Abdul Hameed’s house is an illegal construction and due to this the road is obstructed. If the construction is not removed within three days, then PWD will take action. Notices have also been issued to some other people in the locality and preparations for bulldozer action have begun, declaring everyone’s construction as illegal.
Recently, violence broke out between two communities during the immersion of Durga idol in Bahraich. Despite the efforts of the district administration to make the procession peaceful, incidents of firing and stone pelting wreaked havoc. A youth participating in the immersion procession died in the firing, after which there was a fierce uproar in the district.
At present, the police have registered a case against 10 people including 6 named accused in this case. Apart from this, more than 30 people have been detained.
