Pragati College, Raipur , Chhattisgarh Organises Fancy Dress Competition on the Conclusion Day of Pragati Jazz Session -2024

On the last day of Pragati Jazz Session-2-24, fancy dress, drama competition and prize distribution event were organised. On this occasion, students presented a unique portrayal of ancient and western art through their acting skills.

First of all, after Saraswati Puja, Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar inaugurated the program and wished the students. In her inaugural speech, the Principal said that the fancy dress competition reflects love and attraction towards the culture of various states, and in this way, students get connected to the entire Indian culture, she said .

Today’s program was divided into junior and senior groups where both the choops gave excellent performances. The first step started with Jagriti Sahu presenting her performance as Daya Ben of the famous TV show in the junior group. Poorvi Pandey gave a very entertaining presentation of the character of Joker on the famous song “Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan”. Gaurav Verma made everyone aware of Hollywood’s NUN ghost character. Soni Varsha Sanjay played the character of Stree film very well and fascinated everyone with her character. Mamta Bharti from the senior group presented the character of Monjulika in front of everyone. Priyansh Parihar made everyone happy with the dialogue of the character “Pushbha” “Jhukega Nahi Saala”. Apart from this, the students have taken on different forms which are as follows – Hollywood’s Anvel, tribal, Chhattisgarhi woman, PK Jadu Chhattisgarhi famous character Mera Kaka, Kashi Bai Paro, Rajput couple, which was very encouraging and a center of attraction.

Drama competition was organised in the second stage of the program. On this occasion, the students performed one drama after another on the basis of theme. While exhibiting their excellent talent, the students introduced their amazing art skills and acting ability. In which, everyone was won over by giving a charming presentation on awareness of menstruation, selfish companions, Tonhi harassment of Chhattisgarhi culture.

The judge in this competition was Mr. Ashish Thakur. He encouraged all the participating students and shared his experiences with the students and enhanced the beauty of this program.

In the third stage of the program, the talent of the students was evaluated and they were awarded prizes so that they can appropriately evaluate their talent in any field of life. Under the Jazz Session – 2024 dramatic program lasted for seven days, the educational, cultural, artistic competition was concluded today. Jazz Session – 2024 was organised to enhance the talent of the youth.

College Administrator Jyoti Thakur, Head of Department of Commerce and Management Dr. Ramakrishna Rao, Head of Department of Computer Department Mr. Mannu Rawani, Head of Department of Education Dr. K. N. Gajpal, Head of Department of Journalism Dr. Praveen  Yadav and all the professors are creditable for making the program unbeatable .
