UP: The symbol of trust between two people and the ritual of starting a new life is called marriage, but some cunning people have devised a new way of cheating through this ritual. A similar case has come to light in Ramnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where the police have arrested a looteri dulhan, who along with her accomplices targeted a family.
A girl got married to a boy from Mathura in a house located in Sahupuri. The Pandit got the bride and groom to take seven rounds amidst chanting of mantras. People from the bride and groom’s side were present at the wedding. In the evening, after showing his sister the Vindhyalaya, the girl’s brother insisted on sending her off and started taking her away forcibly. On suspicion, the people from the groom’s side who had come from Mathura took the bride to the Ramnagar police station and the deed of the fraud gang was exposed. The police kept on gathering information about the gang till late night by interrogating the alleged bride.
This is the whole matter
Actually, the marriage of Suraj, a resident of Mathura district, was fixed in Ramnagar, Varanasi through a middleman from Prayagraj. Suraj came to Varanasi on Friday August 16 morning with his uncle Pannalal Jain and other family members. All stayed in a hotel located in Cantt.
As per the fixed time, the people of the groom’s side reached a house in Sahupuri located in Padav, which was said to be the bride’s house. Before the marriage, the girl’s family took one lakh 50 thousand rupees, after which the marriage rituals were completed.
Brother arrived before the farewell
The groom’s side reached a hotel in Cantt with the bride, from where everyone was preparing to go to Mathura late in the evening. Everyone had left to go to Cantt station in an auto when a young man arrived there posing as the girl’s brother.
The bride tried to run away
He said that the sister has to be taken to Vindhyachal first, only after which the farewell will take place. The boy’s family did not agree and the talks were going on. This is the bride who tried to run away. Fearing fraud, the people of the groom’s side tried to stop the bride’s brother, but the alleged brother ran away.
When the matter reached Ramnagar police station, the police first tried to avoid it by saying that the incident happened in Chandauli. The people of Mathura were adamant and after receiving a call from above, the police started investigating the case.
